Join St. Peter’s in celebrating the ancient end of the Christmas season - The Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple. This holy day, also known as Candlemas, is the day we celebrate the Light of the World and bless the candles for the coming year. Bring your candles from home to be blessed at our Evensong and then join us in St. Joseph’s Hall for the Family Meal.
Join St. Peter’s at the Patapsco River for a Blessing of the Waters. An eastern tradition in the Church, the blessing of waters takes place in the season of Epiphany when Christ is made known to all people. Bundle up and join us to pray for our rivers and our environment as we bless the waters for 2019.
Our nation is approaching a mid-term election deeply divided. These divisions have turned to violence - both in words and actions. God calls us to remember we are ALL created out of love and are created to reflect divine love. St. Peter’s invites you to a Week of Compline for Peace in our nation beginning on Tuesday, October 30th and ending on election night, November 6th.
Compline is the traditional “night prayer” of ancient monastic Christianity. While it is grounded in the Christian tradition, it draws also from the Jewish scriptures (especially the Psalms). This worship is open to all who need centering, calm and peace.
